Debt Review Removal — Midrand | Gauteng

Midrand grew fast, and so did its rental complexes in Noordwyk, Carlswald, Halfway Gardens and around Waterfall. Many of the young professionals who moved here took on a new car, furniture and credit cards at the same time — and went under debt review when it all came due at once.

Warning

Debt review removal is not an administrative update. A credit bureau may only remove the flag on a Section 71 clearance certificate or a court order. Anyone offering to "remove the flag overnight" without one of those is operating outside the National Credit Act.

First jobs, first cars and an early debt review

Going under debt review in your twenties is common in Midrand. The good news is that early-career incomes usually rise. A few salary increases or a job change later, many clients can afford their original instalments again, and a magistrate can end the debt review by court order even though the car is not paid off.

Our panel attorney handles it. From R6,500, typically 2 to 3 months.

Everything paid? The flag still has to be lifted

If you have settled every short-term account, you need a Section 71 clearance certificate before any lender will see you as clear. From R2,900, typically 14 to 21 working days.

Between Johannesburg, Pretoria and the airport

Midrand sits halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, and our Kempton Park office is a short drive east. Most Midrand clients do everything remotely; the office is there if you prefer to hand documents over.

Is this a scam? How to tell a lawful removal

  • Only a Section 71 clearance certificate from a registered debt counsellor, or a court order, can remove a debt review flag. A promise of removal in days without either is not lawful.
  • You should get the exact fee in writing after your assessment and approve it before any work starts.
  • The National Credit Regulator does not process removals over WhatsApp. We use WhatsApp to collect documents and answer questions; the removal itself is a certificate sent to the bureaus or a court order.
  • Check any provider's registration before paying. Ours is NCRDC2403 — search it on www.ncr.org.za.

Frequently Asked Questions in Midrand

A Section 71 clearance certificate is typically issued within 14 to 21 working days of a complete document pack. A court-led removal typically takes 2 to 3 months, depending on the court roll.

Yes. If the accounts are paid, you need a clearance certificate. If not, but your salary now covers them, the court route applies.

The court with jurisdiction over your address, or for a rescission the court that granted your order. We confirm it from your paperwork.

Our only office is at 9 Spoorlyn Rd, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, a short drive east of Midrand, near OR Tambo airport. Most Midrand clients never come in: documents go by WhatsApp (076 982 2112) or email, and our panel attorney deals with the court.

A Section 165 rescission is brought in the court that granted the original debt review order, not the court nearest your new home. If your order came from another town's court, that is where our attorney files — you do not need to attend either way. If no order was ever granted, a Section 87 application goes to the court with jurisdiction over where you live now.

Search NCRDC2403 on the National Credit Regulator's website (www.ncr.org.za) under Registrants, then Debt Counsellors. Our only official channels are debt365.co.za, 087 012 6412 and WhatsApp 076 982 2112. Anyone else promising to 'remove' your flag for a fee is not us.
