Debt Review Removal — Sandton | Gauteng

Sandton debt review files tend to involve bigger numbers: vehicle finance with a balloon payment, a bond in Bryanston or Morningside, and credit cards that were manageable on a bonus that did not come. We take Sandton clients off debt review quietly and correctly.

Warning

Debt review removal is not an administrative update. A credit bureau may only remove the flag on a Section 71 clearance certificate or a court order. Anyone offering to "remove the flag overnight" without one of those is operating outside the National Credit Act.

Balloon payments and vehicle finance under debt review

A balloon (residual) payment on a vehicle can be tens or hundreds of thousands of rand due in one go at the end of the agreement. If it falls due while you are under debt review, it has to be dealt with in your plan — and it affects whether you can show a court you are no longer over-indebted. We look at every balloon on your plan before advising which exit route is realistic.

Bonus-driven income and what a magistrate will accept

Many Sandton salaries are a base plus a performance bonus or commission. A magistrate weighs regular income, so we build the affidavit around your guaranteed package and treat bonuses as a cushion rather than the thing that makes the numbers work.

If the figures hold, our panel attorney applies to court to end the debt review. From R6,500, typically 2 to 3 months. If all your short-term accounts are already paid, the clearance certificate route applies instead: from R2,900, typically 14 to 21 working days.

Discretion for professionals

A removal is between you, your credit providers, the credit bureaus and the National Credit Regulator. Your employer is not notified. Assessments can be done by phone or WhatsApp outside office hours, and you never need to be seen at a court.

Is this a scam? How to tell a lawful removal

  • Only a Section 71 clearance certificate from a registered debt counsellor, or a court order, can remove a debt review flag. A promise of removal in days without either is not lawful.
  • You should get the exact fee in writing after your assessment and approve it before any work starts.
  • The National Credit Regulator does not process removals over WhatsApp. We use WhatsApp to collect documents and answer questions; the removal itself is a certificate sent to the bureaus or a court order.
  • Check any provider's registration before paying. Ours is NCRDC2403 — search it on www.ncr.org.za.

Frequently Asked Questions in Sandton

A Section 71 clearance certificate is typically issued within 14 to 21 working days of a complete document pack. A court-led removal typically takes 2 to 3 months, depending on the court roll.

Not necessarily. Talk to us before it falls due: how it is handled affects which exit route makes sense and when.

It depends on your address and, for a rescission, on which court granted your original order. We confirm it before filing.

Our only office is at 9 Spoorlyn Rd, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, next to Rhodesfield station on the Gautrain airport line from Sandton. Most Sandton clients never come in: documents go by WhatsApp (076 982 2112) or email, and our panel attorney deals with the court.

A Section 165 rescission is brought in the court that granted the original debt review order, not the court nearest your new home. If your order came from another town's court, that is where our attorney files — you do not need to attend either way. If no order was ever granted, a Section 87 application goes to the court with jurisdiction over where you live now.

Search NCRDC2403 on the National Credit Regulator's website (www.ncr.org.za) under Registrants, then Debt Counsellors. Our only official channels are debt365.co.za, 087 012 6412 and WhatsApp 076 982 2112. Anyone else promising to 'remove' your flag for a fee is not us.
