Debt Review Removal in Gauteng, Region by Region

Debt365 is a Gauteng practice: our only office is in Kempton Park, and we take people off debt review across all five regions of the province, from Tembisa to the Vaal and from Krugersdorp to Bronkhorstspruit. Find your region below for the court that handles your area and what leaving debt review looks like there.

How Leaving Debt Review Works in Gauteng

There are only two lawful ways off debt review, and they are the same in every Gauteng town. If every short-term account on your plan is paid — a bond can still be running — a registered debt counsellor issues a Section 71 clearance certificate, typically within 14 to 21 working days. If accounts are still open but you can now afford your original instalments, a magistrate can end the debt review by court order, which typically takes 2 to 3 months.

What changes from town to town is the court. Gauteng has dozens of magistrate's courts, and a Section 87 application must go to the one with jurisdiction over your address, while a Section 165 rescission goes back to the court that granted your original order — which may be in another city if you have moved. Each town page below names the court that usually applies, and we confirm it from your paperwork before anything is filed.

Our debt review removal guide explains every route in detail; this page helps you find the page for your part of Gauteng.

Our only office

Debt365 Head Office, Kempton Park

9 Spoorlyn Rd, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park — beside the Rhodesfield Gautrain station on the airport line. Most Gauteng clients never visit: documents go by WhatsApp or email and our panel attorney appears in court for you. If you prefer to come in, the Gautrain connects the office to Sandton, Pretoria, Hatfield and Centurion.

Ekurhuleni (East Rand)

Our only office is here, at 9 Spoorlyn Rd in Rhodesfield, Kempton Park. Ekurhuleni is Gauteng's industrial heartland — factories, logistics around OR Tambo and the rail yards at Germiston — and shift work and overtime cuts are behind many of its debt review files. Its towns are split between several magistrate's courts, from Kempton Park and Benoni to Germiston, Boksburg and Springs.

City of Johannesburg

From the inner city and Soweto to Sandton, Randburg, Roodepoort and Midrand, Johannesburg is served by several courts, including the main Johannesburg court and those at Randburg, Roodepoort, Protea, Alexandra and Lenasia. High rents, vehicle finance and bonus-dependent salaries shape most Johannesburg exits.

City of Tshwane (Pretoria)

Tshwane has one of the largest public-service workforces in the country, and a fixed state salary is the clearest evidence a magistrate can be given. Pretoria's smaller suburbs are covered on the Pretoria, Pretoria East and Pretoria North pages.

West Rand

Gold-mining country: Krugersdorp, Randfontein, Westonaria and the Merafong towns around Carletonville. Retrenchment payouts that settled a debt review plan, and new jobs after shaft closures, are the two most common ways out here.

Sedibeng and the Vaal

Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Meyerton and Heidelberg each have their own court. Steel and heavy-industry job losses pushed many Vaal households into debt review; new work, or paid-off plans, are how they leave.
